A 2012 Reunion Summary from
      Jerry Madeer

April 20, 2012

The San Antonio NBA/Farfan re-union which included Joe and Gail Cosgrove, Larry and Anne Nelson, Jerry and Sandy aka Marie Mader...first timers Pete and Shirley Filiaggi, Gary and Sharon Cross, got off to a great start with arrival cocktails hosted by Larry and Anne in their "hospitality suite" and we thank you both...get to know each other greetings as usual deteriorated in to sea stories of the old Navy. Once the story telling was done the group headed down for a stroll on the River Walk and dinner at Pat O'Brien's.

Saturday included the obligatory visit to the Alamo. The group was then off for a Alamo Trolley tour courtesy of Joe and Gail and we also thank you both. On the tour we were able to visit Mission San Jose', drive by Mission Conception and King William Historic District were the trolley promptly broke down...no machinist mates with us so we had to wait for a replacement trolley to take us to Market Square were if one desired could purchase "authentic" TexMex stuff. Never saw so much authentic stuff made in China. A brew was shared by all while waiting for the trolley. One of the lowlights was Pete Filiaggi having his re-union tee shirt blessed by a low flying pigeon and a replacement was provided.

Saturday evening once again begin at the Nelson's "hospitality suite" before heading out to dinner at the A'cendar Hot Mex/Cool Bar. Sunday being get away day for many the day ended. Man... the time flies when having fun...perhaps we need to make these re-unions a day or so longer. A great time was had by all.

On a personal note it was great to hook up with Gary Cross after 46 years...Gary is living proof "you can take the boy out of the country but you can't take the country out of the boy".
